[Nova-Net] Can't install - can't uninstall

Not sure exactly what happened or why, but I've gotten into a position on my XP machine where I can not uninstall Nova (the Control Panel's Add or Remove Program says it can't find the _is1395 files in C:\Windows\Temp (and indeed, it's not there).... 

and

When I try to install the same version, Nova's install applet says there's another version running and it refuses to load it over the old one.

Anyone got any ideas?
