Hi,
Have you ever considered making a PDA version of
NOVA (with very limited functions/SATs)?
Usage would be for field site users, contesters,
general astronomy, etc.
Obviously, due to PDA limitations you would not need
any rotor control and the Keps would need to be
minimized to only the SATs selected. A separate PC
program for Internet Kep downloading, KEP to PDA
formatting, and PDA downloading (USB to PDA or USB IR
to PDA IR) to may need to be created to support the
PDA program.
My only request is that the PDA program is capable to
be used on older mono screen Pilot PDA's that are
getting very cheap to purchase.
Just an idea to think about - I've seen a demand for
this type of program. Others may comment on this idea
to give you sense of what the current user base
interest?
There is a POLL in the NOVA User Group to obtain
interest results.
